It is not the Barrett REC7 - Proof inside.

So i was looking at the Picture of the 'REC7' earlier, still thinking it looks like an M4 SIR system... so i opened paint to prove it.

Note the attachment tabs highlighted by the Red for attaching the SIR shroud to a flattop M4 and the Folded down sights highlighted with the green that are roughly the same level as the M4 SIR shroud rail.

And thanks to N003k for reminding me, look at the delta ring on the side of the M4, the REC7 has no delta ring.

Now note the fact that on the REC7, the flip up/down sight does not fold flush as there is nothing attached ontop of the flattop rail, the foregrip attaches at the front of the reciever, not on top like the M4 SIR system.

So now everyone can stop getting so excited and take the REC7 of the Confirmed guns lists.

EDIT: Can't find a piccy of a real M4 SIR at the moment, but this RAP4 paintball gun (a replica M4) with a SIR shroud illustrates my points nicely
